Venice Design Biennial 2023 opened its doors from May 19th to June 18th, in parallel with the first month of the Architecture Biennale. The call for applications is now closed.

Participation is for emerging independent designers and established brands alike, as well as museums, universities and galleries. There are three ways to participate in the Venice Design Biennial, depending on who you are and what you want to show.

The Main Group Exhibition follows a strong curatorial approach, with a different theme for each edition, characterized by the interaction of emerging and established designers and brands. The theme of the 4th edition was Auto-Exotic.

Collateral Projects are exhibitions presented in independent spaces across Venice, following autonomous curatorial concepts. They are part of the Venice Design Biennial programme and promoted through our official channels and press activities.

Applications for taking part in the 2023 edition as part of the Group Exhibition or Collateral Project closed on March 15th. Thank you to all the designers who sent in their applications! Read more about the participants.
