MAIN GROUP EXHIBITION
We are looking for independent designers, design studios, universities or design companies whose practice responds to this crucial question:
Can design shape our lives today, offering us solutions for Salvation or should design guide us through an inevitable Extinction?

At SPARC*-Spazio Arte Contemporanea in Campo Santo Stefano, we will select and present only unique pieces and limited editions of design works in glass, while at SPUMA-Space for the Arts, our former brewery on the Giudecca island, we will show a vast selection of collectible design pieces made in different media.

In both venues the curatorial approach will highlight the potential of the different materials and languages in relation with the theme of this edition: Extinction / Salvation, a way to examine contemporary design through opposing lenses of doom and hope.

Do you have an independent project that you would like to be part of the Venice Design Biennial?

Collateral events can follow your own project without having to fit strictly into the current curatorial theme.
We will help you in the various stages of organisation, from location to logistics, and you will be officially included in the programme and communication of the fifth edition.
